Denitra Gregory is the owner of Unforgettable YOU, LLC which is an Image Consulting company that offers wardrobe styling, personal shopping, color analysis, and hair and makeup artistry. Gregory most recently founded a new company under her umbrella, According to Denitra, LLC. According to Denitra is a Lifestyle Brand dedicated to promoting love, art, and culture.
In 2015, Denitra created a virtual empowerment campaign, titled "Brains over Booty," to celebrate the often overlooked brilliance of women. This campaign went nationwide and was well received.
She dipped into Creative Directing and in 2016, she curated and produced Detroit's Strolling Monologues. The Monologues was an annual event around Black History Month honoring iconic African American women in history. She invited numerous Detroit creatives to collaborate to make this event a sought after go-to.
She's also co-founded several other empowerment movements in her tenure, including The Future is Female Detroit Women's Expo.
Gregory is known for her published contributions in Fashion Styling, Makeup and Hair Artistry, Public Speaking and most recently, Creative Directing and Writing.
Some of her most prized work has landed in an international fashion publication and providing makeup artistry for the jewelry designer of Marvel's Black Panther, the movie.
Denitra is no stranger to film; she worked in the makeup department for Batman vs Superman and seeks opportunities for additional film and production work. She’s extremely proud of her work as a hairstylist for background on No Sudden Move, filmed in Michigan in 2020 as well.
Gregory has been featured on Fox2 Style File and has partnered with some of Detroit's sustainable fashion showrooms and collectives. She seeks to continue collaborating with designers and other creatives.
This former social worker is Detroit born, raised and educated.
Her educational background includes a BA in Human Services and intensive entrepreneurial training from the Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute and the DPS Small Contractor Initiative.
As a lifelong learner, she is constantly networking and receiving additional training to perfect her many talents. Thus, she recently completed the Super Majority education fund's first Majority Leaders Program where she joined a cohort of women from across the country to learn more about leading organizations and being a better activist. In addition, she recently earned a certification as a Certified Sewing Specialist. With this accomplishment, she is designing a sustainable Capsule Wardrobe line, piece by piece.
Denitra constantly proves that being in the fashion and beauty space can very well involve community building, activism, and overall personal and professional development.
