There's Levels...uh...Layers to This!

I am the layering queen! It just makes my heart sing! It allows me to wear several outfits in one!  Who else goes into their closet, picks a couple of looks and can't decide on one because both are fab? I know I'm not alone!

This is the main reason I layer! The secret is out! I often have a hard time deciding what to wear because I LOVE EVERYTHING in my closet! LOL. I'm not one of those planners either.  You know...the ones who style their outfits the night before? I. JUST. CAN'T! I've tried! I feel like someone burglarized my creativity.  No. seriously. I need to be able to create, all day, starting with my wardrobe in the morning.  Styling myself everyday gives me a head start on my daily creative thinking process. Deep, huh?

Layering is my jam! It adds so many dimensions to an otherwise basic look. For the most part, I own very basic, practical articles. Albeit basic, most of my wardrobe "moves" and flows with my body.  I LOVE CLOTHES THAT MOVE!  It makes me feel so whimsical. Ahhhhhhhh...

I also love to mix colors.  I love the art of juxtaposing. I love all these things and I CAN HAVE THEM ALL using the technique of layering. There is a method to it, though. Don't go throwing all your jackets of different lengths on or piling on sweater after sweater! Ha! Call me or do what you want (but you 'betsta own it!).

Layering has other benefits.

Layering allows you to smoothly transition from season to season.  So don't throw your summer stuff in boxes yet!  Summer to Fall is the perfect time to become a layering beast!  For example, your maxi dresses are perfect to pair with a long duster or cropped moto jacket. Send me a message if you have a question about layering! I'll answer (wink, wink)!

Today, I layered a summer Leith Midi Dress (with pockets) and a swing tee (that I custom cinched at the waist) together.  I added a little metallic and grunge with my copper combat boots.  You like?
